FESTIVAL OVERVIEW
Lake Mac Action Festival, formerly known as Fast & Loud, is a high-energy event held in October that celebrates the vibrant spirit of Lake Macquarie. Showcasing action on both land and water, the festival brings together the excitement of on-water speed competitions, classic cars, live music, and an array of family-friendly entertainment.
New to the program this year are the Morisset Showground Agricultural Show, offering agricultural community charm with rides, local produce, and traditional show attractions, and Let’s Surf, a pro junior surfing competition highlighting Lake Macquarie’s stunning coastline.
With a boat street parade, superboat, powerboat and jet ski races, live performances, and a broad selection of local food vendors, Lake Mac Action Festival activates both the lake and the surrounding city. The festival draws the community together while attracting visitors from across the region and interstate.
Partnering with nationally recognised boating and sporting organisations, the festival attracts boating enthusiasts, thrill-seekers and families alike, driving tourism to the region. This year the competitions/events are:
- Australian Offshore Powerboat Club (AOPC)
- Australian Formular Powerboats Grand Prix (AFPGP)
- Jet Ski Racing: New south Wales Personal Watercraft Association (NSWPWC)
- Let’s Surf Lake Mac
- Morisset Show and Rodeo
- Show and Shine Classic Cars
There will be two livesite locations to be activated during the racing on Saturday and Sunday at Warners Bay Foreshore and Rathmines Park.
A third activation at Toronto Foreshore will host the 'Street Parade' on Saturday evening from 4pm - 8pm with the boats arriving approx. 5.15pm. This will be managed by LMCC.
