Overview

This year's Lake Mac Action Fest weekend will feature the Offshore Superboat Championships, with racing taking place across the lake on Saturday and Sunday. 

A live site at Warners Bay Foreshore operate from 10am - 3pm each day and will include: 

  • Prime viewing of the races on the lake

  • Large screen live coverage of the races 
  • A bar, seating and viewing areas near the rotunda 
  • Matt Hall Racing aerial displays 
  • Meet-and-greet opportunity with Matt Hall (Sat only)
  • Market stalls and family-friendly entertainment and activities

 

Tourism Operator Showcase

To complement the Action Fest activity, we will stage a Tourism Operator Showcase featuring local tourism businesses. Operators are encouraged to create an engaging display that brings their product to life.  

There may also an opportunity to provide experiences and/or demonstrations on the water.

What is involved?

Participating businesses will be required to: 

  • Staff their site between 10am–3pm on Saturday 17 October or Sunday 18 October (or both) 
  • Provide their own display equipment and promotional materials  
  • Set up and pack down their site (additional time on top of event times)
  • Create an engaging display that showcases their tourism product 

What Lake Macquarie City Council will provide?

  • A designated showcase space at Warners Bay Foreshore 
  • A business identification sign for each participating operator 
  • Inclusion alongside Matt Hall Racing and the Visitor Information team within the showcase area 
  • Promotion through the event marketing campaign

    1. A completed application does not guarantee acceptance
    2. The Event Manager reserves the right to refuse any application
    3. Subletting and sharing of sites is not permitted.
    4. The Event Manager will not be responsible for loss of trade or stock due to weather.
    5. Bump In /out is managed by an external contractor and will be sent the week prior to the event.
    6. This application acknowledges that the Event Manager is indemnified against all claims arising from damage or injury to goods or persons.
