Important information

Please use this application form to apply for lead in soil testing by X-ray fluorescence(XRF) equipment.

Appropriately licenced Council Officer's can conduct lead in soil testing of surface soils to provide indicative lead in soil readings. The service is provided free of charge. Requests for residents within the Lead Abatement Strategy (LAS) area are prioritised for testing. 

Please note that this testing provides an estimate of lead in soil, and should be treated as an indication only. The results are not accurate enough to constitute legal or medical advice. Information of this nature should be sought through formal laboratory testing carried out by a suitably qualified environmental consultant.
